SPECIAL BUYS WEDNESDAY DROP - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. INTRODUCTION
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Price Corporation (Pty) Ltd (Reg. No. 2022/720376/07), trading as Special Buys, including its website, mobile platforms, and in-store purchases.
By accessing, browsing, or purchasing from Special Buys, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. SPECIAL BUYS CAMPAIGN STRUCTURE: WEDNESDAY DROP
2.1 Special Buys Wednesday Drop promotion and products are announced on Sundays.
2.2 Products will only be available for purchase in-store only, starting from the following Wednesday; doors open at 7am.
2.3 All deals are limited-time and limited-stock offers. All deals are valid until the following Tuesday; or until sold out, whichever comes first.
2.4 Wednesday drop deals are strictly limited to 2 per customer.
2.5 Once stock is sold out, the product will no longer be available in-store and will not be available at the Wednesday Drop Special price.
3. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY & SALES CHANNEL
3.1 All products are subject to availability while stocks last.
3.2 Special Buys Wednesday Drop deals are available in-store only and cannot be purchased online or via the App.
3.3 The display of products online, on the SB +Account app, or in marketing materials does not constitute a guarantee of availability.
3.4 A product is only secured once payment has been successfully completed in-store.
3.5 We reserve the right to limit quantities per customer.
4. SB +ACCOUNT APP REQUIREMENT (IN-STORE PURCHASES)
4.1 To purchase Special Buys Wednesday Drop products in-store, customers are required to:
4.2.1 Download the SB +Account App via the App Store or Playstore.
4.2.2 Register an account.
4.2.3 Be logged in at the time of purchase and scan the QR code at the till point to complete the transaction.
4.2.4 Failure to present a valid SB +Account may result in refusal of sale.
5. PRICING AND PROMOTIONS
5.1 Prices displayed are valid only for the duration of the Special Buy Wednesday Drop promotional period.
5.2 Discounts are not guaranteed beyond the promotional period.
5.3 We reserve the right to correct pricing errors without prior notice.
6. PAYMENT
6.1 Full payment is required at the point of purchase.
6.2 Accepted payment methods will be displayed in-store or on the platform.
6.3 Transactions will not be processed without successful payment.
7. RETURNS AND REFUNDS
7.1 Returns are subject to our Returns Policy and the Consumer Protection Act (South Africa).
7.2 Special Buy Wednesday Drop items may be subject to specific return conditions due to limited stock availability.
7.3 Refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable law.
8. TV LICENCE REQUIREMENT (SOUTH AFRICA)
8.1 In accordance with South African law, a valid TV Licence is required for the purchase of any television.
8.2 Where a television forms part of a Special Buys Wednesday Drop, the following applies:
8.3 Customers must hold a valid and fully paid-up TV Licence; or
8.4 Customers must settle any outstanding TV Licence fees; or
8.5 Customers must purchase a new TV Licence prior to completing the purchase.
8.6 Customers may be required to:
8.6.1 Provide a valid SA ID or Passport number
8.6.2 Undergo licence verification
8.7 Where a licence status is:
8.7.1 Valid → purchase may proceed
8.7.2 In arrears → outstanding amounts must be settled before purchase
8.7.3 Not found → a new licence must be obtained before purchase
8.8 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any transaction that does not comply with TV licence regulations.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
9.1 We are not liable for:
9.1.1 Loss of opportunity due to out-of-stock items
9.1.2 Website or system downtime during high traffic periods
9.1.3 Any indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in Special Buys promotions
9.2 All products are sold subject to applicable warranties and statutory rights.
10. CHANGES TO TERMS
We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon publication.
11. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
12. HIGH DEMAND DISCLAIMER
12.1 Due to the nature of Special Buys Wednesday Drop promotions:
12.1.1 High traffic may impact website or in-store systems
12.1.2 Items may sell out rapidly
12.1.3 Availability is not guaranteed until payment is completed
12.1.4 Special Buys operates on a first-come, first-served basis
