All our goods come with a warranty; the warranty periods may vary from product to product. At the time of purchase the warranty period will be stipulated.

Product Availability

Lead time is dependent on stock availability. Should we have stock available, orders are dispatched within 2 Working days provided payment is authenticated / received before 14:00 hours – Monday – Saturday; Sunday & P.H. will be 3 Working days.

Every effort is made to effect shipment of your order timeously however unforeseen circumstances may cause delays. Should we be faced with such an occurrence Special Buys will contact you via email and provide a revised shipping schedule.

Delivery Policy

When you click to make a purchase with us legal obligations arise and your right to refund of monies charged to your credit card or paid in any other way agreed by us, are limited by our Terms & Conditions. You must not make any purchase through this site unless you understand and agree to all our Terms and Conditions.

Once payment is made for the purchase, it is deemed that you have read and understood the Terms and Conditions for such purchase. If you have any queries, please contact us before making any purchase for any service through this website.

Shipping

Only within South Africa we offer a Door-to-door courier service. Please ensure the correct shipping address is provided from the outset as title and risk will pass to you once the order has left our premises. Please note we do not deliver to post boxes therefore only street addresses will be accepted. A postal code is to be provided.

Undeliverable Packages

Occasionally packages are returned to us undeliverable. Should this event take place every attempt will be made to contact you to make arrangements for re-shipment.

Order Processing

Order processing will not begin until we receive a confirmed order and full payment. Please note Credit card batches take longer as we wait for settlement before any goods are released.

Refunds/Returns Policy

Should you for any reason wish to cancel your purchase you may be liable for a handling fee, which may be up to 30%. You must advise us in writing of your cancellation and any such cancellation must be signed by the person who made the original purchase. The goods must be returned to us undamaged in the original packaging within 14 calendar days of date of purchase.

In the event of you returning the item, due to change of mind or any other reason other than faulty or damaged, you will be liable for the delivery charges.

Note: Special Buys recommends that you use courier services for all returns as it offers shipment tracking through a 24-hour customer helpline. Should you choose to use a carrier that does not offer a tracking facility, and the goods are missing, then no refund or return will be allowed.

Please note: Special Buys only delivers within South Africa.

Payment Options and Pricing

All transactions will be processed only in South African Rands (ZAR).

Special Buys endeavours to offer you competitive prices on current products; your total order price will include the price of the purchase plus any applicable VAT and shipping charges.

Special Buys reserves the right to change pricing or limit quantities per purchase at any time without prior notice.

Crossed-out reference prices shown on our website or RRP in store are based on a supplier’s recommended retail price or a price found for the same or a comparable product when the item was listed. They may not be the lowest or highest price available, and market prices may change.

Standard Terms & Conditions

E & OE - Errors and omissions excepted. Some product images may be similar to and may vary from time to time and may only be for illustrative purposes.

Card Acquiring and Security

All card transactions for Special Buys will be via a 3D Secure Gateway who are the approved payment gateway for all South African transactions. Approved by the Banking Standards of South Africa.

No card details are stored on the website.

Customer Details Separate from Card Details

Customer details will be stored by Special Buys separately from card details which are entered by the client on the secure payment gateway.

Merchant Outlet Country and Transaction Currency

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

Responsibility

Special Buys takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.

Customer Privacy Policy

Special Buys shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA).

Monitoring

We have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor any activity and content associated with the Website. We may investigate any reported violation of these Conditions or complaints and take any action that we deem appropriate, which may include issuing warnings, suspending, terminating or attaching conditions to your access and/or removing any materials from the Website.

POPIA

By using this website, you acknowledge that you have read and accept this POPIA disclaimer. Special Buys takes reasonable measures to protect your personal information and treats all collected data as strictly confidential.

We process personal information only for legitimate business purposes or to fulfil services you requested. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use this website or provide personal details.

Law

The Conditions will be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa whose Courts will have exclusive jurisdiction in any dispute, save that we have the right, at our sole discretion, to commence and pursue proceedings in alternative jurisdictions.

I understand that all the designs and trademarks are registered to Special Buys and hereby accept the Terms and Conditions. I undertake not to copy/duplicate the trademarks and designs directly or indirectly in any way and understand the legal implications thereof.

Should I be found to be in violation of this agreement I understand that I will be held liable for all legal costs incurred by Special Buys for any civil action or any legal action deemed necessary against me.

SPECIAL BUYS WEDNESDAY DROP – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. INTRODUCTION

These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in the Special Buys Wednesday Drop promotion operated by Price Corporation (Pty) Ltd (Reg. No. 2022/720376/07), trading as Special Buys, including its website, mobile platforms, and in-store purchases.

By accessing, browsing, registering for, or purchasing from Special Buys, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. SPECIAL BUYS CAMPAIGN STRUCTURE: WEDNESDAY DROP

2.1 Special Buys Wednesday Drop promotions and products are announced on Sundays.

2.2 Products will only be available for purchase in-store, starting from the following Wednesday when doors open at 7:00am.

2.3 All Wednesday Drop deals are limited-time and limited-stock offers. Deals are valid until the following Tuesday or until sold out, whichever comes first.

2.4 Wednesday Drop deals are strictly limited to 1 per customer, unless otherwise stated.

2.5 Once stock is sold out, the product will no longer be available in-store at the Wednesday Drop promotional price.

2.6 Special Buys reserves the right to change or withdraw a Wednesday Drop promotion, correct errors, or limit quantities where reasonably necessary.

3. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY & SALES CHANNEL

3.1 All products are subject to availability while stocks last.

3.2 Special Buys Wednesday Drop deals are available in-store only and cannot be purchased online or via the App.

3.3 The display of products on the Special Buys website, SB +Account App, social media, advertising, or other marketing materials does not constitute a guarantee of availability.

3.4 A product is only secured once payment has been successfully completed in-store.

3.5 Special Buys reserves the right to limit quantities per customer.

3.6 Product images may be for illustrative purposes and the actual product may vary where applicable.

4. SB +ACCOUNT APP REQUIREMENT (IN-STORE PURCHASES)

4.1 To purchase Special Buys Wednesday Drop products in-store, customers are required to:

4.1.1 Download the SB +Account App via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

4.1.2 Register a valid SB +Account.

4.1.3 Be logged into their SB +Account at the time of purchase.

4.1.4 Present and scan their valid SB +Account membership QR code at the till point before completing the transaction.

4.2 A valid SB +Account must be attached to the Wednesday Drop transaction.

4.3 Failure to present a valid SB +Account may result in refusal of the Wednesday Drop sale.

4.4 Customers are responsible for ensuring that the information provided when registering their SB +Account is accurate.

5. PRICING AND PROMOTIONS

5.1 Wednesday Drop prices displayed are valid only for the duration of the applicable promotional period and while stocks last.

5.2 Discounts and Wednesday Drop promotional prices are not guaranteed beyond the promotional period.

5.3 All transactions are processed in South African Rand (ZAR).

5.4 Special Buys reserves the right to correct genuine pricing, description, or promotional errors.

5.5 Special Buys reserves the right to change pricing or limit quantities per purchase in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.

6. PAYMENT

6.1 Full payment is required at the point of purchase.

6.2 Accepted payment methods will be displayed or communicated in-store.

6.3 A transaction will not be completed until payment has been successfully processed.

6.4 The merchant outlet country is South Africa and the transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

7. RETURNS, REFUNDS AND WARRANTIES

7.1 Returns and refunds are subject to the Special Buys Returns Policy and applicable South African consumer protection legislation.

7.2 Wednesday Drop products may be subject to specific return conditions due to their limited-stock and promotional nature, subject always to customers' statutory rights.

7.3 Refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable law and the Special Buys Returns Policy.

7.4 All goods are supplied with applicable warranties. Warranty periods may vary depending on the product.

7.5 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any rights that a customer may have under applicable South African law.

8. TV LICENCE REQUIREMENT (SOUTH AFRICA)

8.1 In accordance with applicable South African requirements, a valid TV Licence is required for the purchase of a television where such licence is legally required.

8.2 Where a television forms part of a Special Buys Wednesday Drop, the following applies:

8.2.1 Customers must hold a valid and fully paid-up TV Licence; or

8.2.2 Customers must settle any outstanding TV Licence fees where required; or

8.2.3 Customers must obtain a new TV Licence where required before completing the purchase.

8.3 Customers may be required to:

8.3.1 Provide a valid South African ID or Passport number; and/or

8.3.2 Undergo TV Licence verification.

8.4 Where a licence status is:

8.4.1 Valid – the purchase may proceed.

8.4.2 In arrears – outstanding amounts must be resolved before the purchase may proceed.

8.4.3 Not found – a valid licence must be obtained before the purchase may proceed.

8.5 Special Buys reserves the right to refuse or cancel a television transaction where the applicable TV Licence requirements have not been satisfied.

9. PRIVACY AND PERSONAL INFORMATION

9.1 Special Buys will take reasonable steps to protect customers' personal information and will process personal information for legitimate business purposes and/or to provide services requested by customers.

9.2 Personal information collected through the website, SB +Account App, or in-store processes may be used for account administration, membership verification, transactions, customer support and other purposes described in the Special Buys Privacy Policy.

9.3 Special Buys treats collected personal information as confidential and takes reasonable measures to protect such information.

9.4 By using the Special Buys website, SB +Account App or related services, customers acknowledge the applicable Special Buys privacy and POPIA provisions.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

10.1 Subject to applicable law, Special Buys will not be liable for:

10.1.1 Loss of opportunity arising from Wednesday Drop products becoming out of stock.

10.1.2 Website, App, payment, network, or in-store system interruptions or downtime caused by circumstances beyond Special Buys' reasonable control.

10.1.3 Delays or interruptions caused by unusually high traffic or demand.

10.1.4 Indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in a Wednesday Drop promotion, to the extent permitted by law.

10.2 All products remain subject to applicable warranties and customers' statutory rights.

11. CHANGES TO TERMS

11.1 Special Buys reserves the right to change, modify, add to, or remove portions of these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

11.2 Changes will become effective when published on the Special Buys website.

11.3 Continued participation in Wednesday Drop promotions following publication of updated Terms and Conditions will be subject to the updated terms, to the extent permitted by law.

12. GOVERNING LAW

12.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

12.2 Any disputes will be dealt with in accordance with applicable South African law.

13. HIGH DEMAND DISCLAIMER

13.1 Due to the nature of Special Buys Wednesday Drop promotions:

13.1.1 High customer demand may impact website, App, payment, or in-store systems.

13.1.2 Products may sell out rapidly.

13.1.3 Product availability is not guaranteed until payment has been successfully completed.

13.1.4 Wednesday Drop products are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the applicable purchase limit.

13.1.5 Displaying a product on the website, App, social media, advertising, or other promotional material does not reserve that product for a customer.
